While the Danish Sugerliga remains in Winter hibernation, 2 of its star players found themselves with moves abroad to the English and Scottish Premier League last week. The 21 year old Ghanaian midfielder Amartey has made 41 appearances for FCK since his move from Swedish side Djurgaardens and would is leaving a side that are top of the Danish Superliga. Amartey made his international debut for Ghana last year and has earned 6 caps so far. The fee is believed to be in the region of £6 million.
On the other hand Celtic has confirmed the transfer of the FC Midtjylland defender Erik Sviatchenko. Having been given the number 28 shirt the defender who has won 4 caps for Denmark moved on a 4 & a half year deal for £1.5 million.
24 year old Sviatchenko racked up over 100 games for FC Midtjylland and was a key member of last season’s Danish champions who now have to prepare for their mouth-watering Europa League tie with Manchester United next month without their highly-rated man.
